- Washing my pants the old fashioned way… with rocks and a river
- This is what washing your hair looks like on a 9 day canoe trip
- Tombstone mountains and sub-arctic tundra… my favourite place on earth!
- Yes, that is a human toe… It’s a Yukon thing, gross but part of our lives
- That shot of whiskey will soon be home to that toe
- and then you take the shot, while the toe is in the shot… BUT it is illegal to eat the toe… One of the many traditions in becoming a full Yukoner.

Allie – the photos make me want to go there. I wanted to comment on almost every one of them. Luckily your site wouldn’t let me!

Haha, actually you can comment on each photo separately. I didn’t think you could either, until someone did!

Love the photos. Curious about how the toe thing started. I would love to take a trip like that someday.

Oh, like most traditions get started… two guys got drunk one night and one bet the other one he wouldn’t do it… lol.

I LOVE this!! I swear sometimes if my hair is clean, I feel clean. We have this big metal bowl at our cabin, and in the winter I melt snow on the stove and wash my hair. Makes me a whole new person

You have no idea how much I love that! Melting snow in a bowl to wash your hair! <3 But I agree, if my hair is clean I can ignore the fact that the rest of me is not!!!
